Edna Doyle suffered a massive stroke on June 26th.
One
of my friends found her in a chair at Mt. Carmel in obvious
distress, he
called 911 and they took her to the ER.
She battled bravely for almost
an entire week, but lost that battle
around 6AM this morning, Texas time.
Edna was a sweet gentle soul who taught me much about love,
living
and enjoying life and loving my children. I was fortunate to
have had her
and Clive as guests in my home last year. She fell
ill and was
hospitalized while in Tucson. The doctor told her that
her liver was
failing and her heart was having to work too hard,
she needed some very
powerful drugs to help her organs out.
She refused the drugs and told the
doctor, "If God wants to take
me home, here I am. I'm ready to go."
God has indeed come to take Edna home, wrapping her in his arms
where she can have final peace. I know 22 children who are up there
and very happy to see their "Grandma" again, and one special girl
by the
name of Shari, who is leading Edna as we speak through the
wonders of
Heaven, showing her around.
God bless you Edna for all your work at Mt.
Carmel and the children
you helped raise. Thank you for opening your home to
this red head
and for all the wonderful meals you prepared. Thank you
for sharing
with my family your knowledge and your love.
I'm so
happy that you no longer have to labor and struggle through
each day and
that your resting peacefully, but my heart aches from
the emptiness of your
passing. Good-bye my friend.
God bless you Clive for taking care of your
mother after all those
years of her taking care of you. I know of all
the people on this Earth,
you will miss her the most. My heart goes
out to you.
Edna will be buried sometime this week at Mt. Carmel.
